Accessibility Statement

Urbanly is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website and mobile applications usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

1. Our Commitment

We believe that the web and connected services should be accessible to all users. We strive to make the Urbanly platform — including our website, progressive web app, and iOS and Android mobile apps — perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust in line with internationally recognized accessibility standards.

2. Conformance Status

Urbanly aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

We additionally consider the following standards and frameworks where applicable:

• EN 301 549 — the European harmonized accessibility standard (which references WCAG 2.1 AA), in support of the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102).
• Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act, as updated in 2017 to incorporate WCAG 2.0 AA.
• The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III, as interpreted by U.S. courts in relation to public-facing digital services.
• Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Google's Material Design accessibility guidance for our native mobile applications.

Current status: Urbanly is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard while we continue to improve.

3. Accessibility Features

We have implemented and continue to improve a range of accessibility features, including:

• Semantic HTML structure and meaningful page titles to support screen readers.
• Keyboard-navigable interface elements and visible focus indicators where practical.
• Text alternatives for non-text content where appropriate.
• Sufficient color contrast in primary user-interface text.
• Scalable typography that respects the user's browser and device text-size settings.
• Support for native operating-system accessibility services on iOS (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type) and Android (TalkBack, font scaling) within the limitations of our embedded web content.
• Form fields with associated labels and error messages.

4. Known Limitations

Despite our ongoing efforts, some areas of the Urbanly platform may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

• Interactive map interface: Map-based exploration, drawing tools, and geographic selection rely heavily on pointer and gesture input. Equivalent non-visual or keyboard-only alternatives for every map interaction are not yet available. Where possible, the same data is also exposed through list views and text descriptions.
• User-generated content: Photos, descriptions, and other content submitted by users may lack alternative text or may not meet accessibility best practices. We are not able to guarantee the accessibility of third-party or user-contributed material.
• Third-party services: Components provided by third parties (such as map tiles, authentication providers, embedded media, and analytics) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Legacy content: Some older pages, generated reports, or downloadable files may not yet meet our current accessibility targets.

We are actively working to reduce and remove these limitations.

5. Assistive Technology Compatibility

The Urbanly website and apps are designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following assistive technologies, used together with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android):

• Screen readers (including VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, and JAWS)
• Operating system text scaling and zoom
• Speech recognition software
• Keyboard-only navigation
• High-contrast and reduced-motion system settings, where supported by your operating system or browser

Some functionality may degrade when using significantly outdated browsers, operating systems, or assistive technologies.

6. Technical Specifications

Accessibility of the Urbanly platform relies on the following technologies working with your browser, operating system, and any assistive technologies installed:

• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• WAI-ARIA
• SVG

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

7. Assessment Approach

Urbanly assesses the accessibility of its platform through a combination of:

• Internal review by our development team using automated accessibility tools (such as Lighthouse and axe).
• Manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers on key user flows.
• User feedback received through our contact channels.

We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party accessibility audit. This statement reflects the result of our own ongoing evaluation and is updated as the platform changes.

We try to respond to accessibility feedback within a reasonable timeframe. When reporting an issue, please include:

• The URL or screen where you experienced the issue
• The device, operating system, browser, and any assistive technology you were using
• A short description of the problem and, if possible, what you were trying to do

9. Enforcement and Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility feedback, you may have the right to escalate the matter to the competent enforcement authority in your country or region (for example, the national accessibility body designated under the EU Web Accessibility Directive or the European Accessibility Act, or the relevant authority under the Americans with Disabilities Act in the United States). This Accessibility Statement does not limit any statutory rights you may have.

10. Legal Disclaimer

Urbanly makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accessibility of its platform, but does not warrant that the service will be free of accessibility issues at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Urbanly shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from accessibility barriers, third-party content, or assistive-technology incompatibilities outside our reasonable control. This statement does not create any contractual obligation beyond what is required by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the statement was most recently revised.
